Point Mobile pursues eco-friendly management activities for responsible management activities as a global company, comply with the restrictions on the use of hazardous substances, and abides by the regulations on the recycling of used household appliances. We continue to pursue ways to minimize environmental impact through eco-friendly design.

Establish Corporate Sustainability Management System and Strengthen Communication

Point Mobile is striving to build a sustainability management system that meets global standards and spread it across the company. We have established an integrated management system to ensure that sustainability management is implemented not only by some departments but by all employees at the company level. In addition, we are constantly striving to improve the level of customer satisfaction and trust by extending the communication systems from suppliers to customers, thereby strengthening mutual communication as well as participation.

Development of Sustainable Products and Value Chain Diffusion

To actively respond to climate change, Point Mobile is working to reduce environmental impact and develop eco-friendly products. We aim to minimize the environmental impact from the early stage of new product development planning. We supervise all processes from production to sales, recycling and recovery of products. To ensure the sustainability of the next generation, Point Mobile pursues eco-friendly policies by adhering to the following global policies.

  • RoHs

    RoHs stands for The Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It is the regulation by the European Union that restricts the use of six specific hazardous substances in the manufacture of electrical / electronic products.

  • REACH

    REACH stands for Registration Evaluation Authorization and restriction of Chemicals. It is EU's strongest chemical (product) management system that regulates the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction according to the manufacturing, import quantity as well as hazards of materials over 1 ton imported in the EU.

  • WEEE

    WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. The WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC, adopted by the European Union in 2003, is intended to help manufacturers, resellers and importers take responsibility for the collection, reuse, recycling and recovery of electrical and electronic equipment. This is a published guideline aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of electrical and electronic equipment disposal.

  • China RoHS

    China RoHS is regulated by the RoHS Directive of the EU to regulate the use of hazardous substances in the Electronic Information Products produced, sold and imported in China and to control as well as reduce the environmental pollution caused by the disposal of Electronic Information Products. The purpose of China RoHS is to formulate the environmental protection principle of 'priority in pollution prevention' as a basis for Electronic Information Product recovery and recycling. It regulates the use of flame heavy metals such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) and hexavalent chromium (Cr + 6), and flame retardants such as polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl (PBDE).

  • California Energy Commission (CEC) Level VI standard

    The global regulatory environment for legislating the efficiency of external power supply and power consumption at no load has evolved rapidly over a decade after the first mandatory standard was implemented by the California Energy Commission (CEC) in 2004. Starting February 10, 2016, the US Department of Energy (DOE) introduced a stricter new level of energy efficiency standards related to external power supplies (EPS). This new energy efficiency standard is labeled Level VI, which allows DOE to save consumers $ 3.8 billion and reduce 47 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to an annual electricity use of 6.5 million meters for 30 years, contributing to the reduction of gas emissions.
