Point Mobile has officially unveiled the PM68, a high-performance mobile computer equipped with a physical keypad, designed for enterprise environments that demand durability, accuracy, and all-day performance.

The PM68 succeeds the widely adopted PM67, which launched in 2021 and has been used by major clients such as Korea's Daiso, Homeplus, Hankook Tire, Denmark’s Rema1000, Poland’s Eurocash, and the Philippine Power Authority.

While retaining the strengths of the PM67, the PM68 offers several key upgrades, including:

  • The latest Android 15 OS (with future support up to Android 18)

  • Improved memory with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage

  • High-performance barcode scanning engine

  • Enhanced battery efficiency for longer operational hours

  • Lighter weight — approximately 15% lighter than the PM67, weighing only 254.5g

One of PM68’s most notable features is its hybrid input system, combining a 4-inch LCD touchscreen with a physical keypad. This setup enables fast, accurate data entry even when users are wearing gloves,

making it ideal for rugged work environments such as logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, and retail.

The transition to Android 15 significantly enhances system stability, security, and device management, while also contributing to better battery efficiency through background process control.

Designed for durability, the PM68 meets IP67 dust and water resistance standards and has passed MIL-STD-810H and 1.5-meter drop tests, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh industrial environments.

According to Market Research Intellect, the global industrial PDA market is valued at $3.2 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $5.1 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 6.5%.

With its competitive pricing, the PM68 is expected to play a key role in expanding Point Mobile’s presence in emerging markets.

Emerging markets across APAC, Latin America, and the Middle East & Africa currently account for 45% of the global market and are experiencing rapid growth at an average annual rate of over 9%,

particularly within the logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors.

A Point Mobile representative commented: “The PM68 is a well-balanced next-generation device that brings together all the essential elements for field-based operations.

As the successor to the PM67, it is designed to deliver even greater value to our customers. We remain committed to developing solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.”
